Bologna presents a preview of the upcoming styles and colours in hairdressing
Short, blonde, geometric-shaped hair: this will be 2007 women’s style according to the most renowned international hairdressers, who have met over the last few days in Bologna on occasion of the 40th edition of Cosmoprof, the biggest beauty event all over the world.
The new trend will feature short hair, naked necks which make lines slender besides enhancing the shape of the head in a natural way. New haircuts get inspiration from the sixties, but, though being characterized by geometrical lines, they maintain a sort of lightness and delicacy softening square off and rough-edged structures. Tips are rounded to give volume, thus producing a dynamic effect. Fringes are arranged so that they can be changed in position, from forehead to sides, giving birth to surprising light effects.
Blonde will be the main trend in 2007: ice, pearl and ash blonde. Hot and natural shades and reflexes will be replaced by bleaching and all sorts of procedures for making hair lighter, which will be a must for all hairdressers. The arrangement will be uneven, more resembling a kind of spider web and taking advantage of the light points in order to warrant a good brightness degree, also thanks to the use of silver and gold nuances. This is aimed at reaching a daydreaming dimension and being detached from everyday life. And this is also Aldo Coppola’s point of view: “hair is like a heritage”.
