Sacha

1. How is the Academy developing?

TONI&GUY now have over 24 academies globally, with Academy liaisons who constantly monitor and asses our education centers and over 250 educators internationally – all ensuring wherever you train in the world, you receive the same incredible standard of education. I have a huge and very talented Artistic team, who are really passionate about what they do, most of their year is spent visiting salons both here in the UK and oversees, to ensure that all of our staff are kept up to date with new cutting and colouring techniques.

2. Where do you get your own creative ideas from?

Everywhere! Reading magazines, watching shows, talking to my Artistic Team, traveling - sometimes inspiration can come from the most unexpected places or from the simplest of ideas.

3. How many collections do you create each year?

We generally create two commercial collections each year, in line with fashion industry. Our salons love having spring/summer and Autumn/Winter collections – we are the only hairdressing company that does this and it keeps are windows interesting and appealing. We also create an education collection each year, that’s launched at Salon International each year. These collections are much more experimental and are all about inspiring hairdressers through exciting cut and colouring techniques.

4. What’s the best thing about your job?

Everything! I absolutely love my job. I work very hard but have a lot of fun doing it!

5. How long does it take to become a real artist in hairdressing?
I don’t think that time is a factor. It’s about developing potential through the right education and providing the right environment for hairdressers to develop and excel. If you have passion, motivation and raw talent success is a natural progression.

6. What is your opinion about STYLING Magazine, considering it is a new magazine on the market, what is it development?

Styling is a great magazine and I love receiving International magazines. TONI&GUY is a global company so to receive publications from all over the world gives me a really good understanding of hairdressing across the globe.

7. Do you know that you are very popular in Macedonia? Could we expect in future to see you presenting your collections and products in Macedonia?

I love to travel but having two small children means that my traveling plans are quite limited to their busy schedules. I’d very much like to visit Macedonia.

8. What are your future plans? You conquest the whole world, what is your next goal?

What I wish or the future is to care for and develop the company that my father co-founded, with the same skill, passion, vision and determination as he has. When I look back over the past 40 years of TONI&GUY and all that my father has achieved it gives me huge inspiration for the next forty years.

9. How do you like to spend you free time? Do you have hobby not related with you professional activities?
I like to spend time with my family, my children and my husband James and just enjoying life.

10. What is the most important thing to become successful hairstylist and to manage your salon?

To believe in yourself and be passionate about what you do. If you are true to yourself and your ideas success will follow naturally.
